Locura is led by singer Deborah Ledon, orginally from Havana Cuba, who has an energy and sincerity that is unrelenting and totally infectious.
The Band
"Locura was formed to explore and celebrate the music of Latin Jazz and the spirit of collaboration. A tribute to the countries and the artists from them,who have contributed their history and sounds over the decades, to create and offer to us an incredible musical legacy that was born and evolved through embracing new directions, new sounds and new ideas.
From the Cuban influence on the New York jazz scene in the 40’s, to the Brazilian contribution of bossa nova and samba, to the Puerto Rican and Dominican melding of their respective rhythms, Locura celebrates the music that has evolved from these rich collaborations".
